New York Jets’ HC Aaron Glenn shows full faith in Justin Fields while signaling toward a new Jets era

After being appointed as the head coach for the New York Jets early this year, Aaron Glenn has proven to be a seasoned NFL coach so far. Glenn recently shared his insight about the promising future of the Jets’ most underrated quarterback, Justin Fields. Rewinding to Aaron Rodgers’ unsuccessful stint with the Jets, the HC has shown faith in Fields to exceed expectations if given a breakthrough moment. Glenn remains “very happy” with the 26-year-old’s game and signals towards the beginning of a new chapter for the New York Jets. In a recent conversation with American reporter Harrison Glaser, the Jets’ newly appointed head coach had a few words to say about the team’s quarterback, Justin Fields, and his yet-to-be-seen caliber. Glenn stated about Fields, "There's a quiet confidence about that man that's unshakable. Even though he's not the most vocal person, he's active with his body language, he's active with his 1-on-1 conversations. If he has to stand in front of the guys & say something, he will. He will. He's not one of those guys that's gonna talk just to talk, cause sometimes if you do that, players around you can get deadhead, but he says things when it needs to be said.He further continued, "He's a really good athlete; he works his butt off in the weight room. He's a guy that's doing everything he can to improve, & whatever advantage he can get from coaching, strength & conditioning, being on the field, he's gonna take that advantage & he's gonna run with it, so I'm very happy where he's at."With the evident unwavering faith of Glenn in Fields after the Steelers’ trade, the Jets seem to be betting more on growth than glamour. The convictions by Glenn have restored the faith of the Jets’ fans as they await the team to perform in a better way after experiencing a rough patch for the last few years.
