Oluwafemi Oladejo’s announcement came after the Tennessee Titans picked their first-round 1st overall pick, quarterback Cam Ward. The Titans drafted Oladejo in the 2025 NFL Draft as their second-round 52nd overall pick. Oluwafemi Oladejo formerly played for the California Golden Bears, where he accumulated 129 tackles. He also represented the UCLA Bruins, where Oladejo accumulated 57 tackles, 13.5 tackles for a loss, 4.5 sacks, and 6 quarterback hurries in 2024. In totality, he accumulated 238 total tackles, 20.5 tackles for loss, 6 sacks, 1 forced fumble, and 3 fumble recoveries in both colleges.
The 6-foot-3, 259-pounder carries the same enthusiastic energy into the Tennessee Titans. But this time, it is for the edge rusher’s position, not the linebacker’s.
Oladejo has already shown his magic at the rookie minicamp. Jim Wyatt, Senior NFL Writer/Editor, shared on the official NFL website, “Oladejo flew through drills with teammates, and he was physical, hitting the sled or practice dummies.”

Oluwafemi Oladejo turns into an edge rusher from a linebacker at the Tennessee Titans

Lance Zierlein, NFL Analyst, had projected Oluwafemi Oladejo for Round 3. Zierlein shared, “Linebacker-turned-edge-rusher whose draft profile might have gone from dull to dynamic with the switch. Oladejo is long and aggressive, in attaching blockers in front of him. A lack of instincts in the run game and plans as a pass pusher could be temporary bumps in the road that should be smoothed with coaching.” Zierlein called “starting experience at off-ball linebacker and on the edge,” Oluwafemi Oladejo’s strength, and “requires additional time to iron out edge technique,” Oladejo’s weakness.

Oluwafemi Oladejo says he has learned a lot of the basics of playing edge

On May 14, Oluwafemi Oladejo shared with Jim Wyatt, “Right now, I’m just focusing on continuing to be a better pass rusher. (Setting) the edge, playing football, and (I want to)help the team win. I have learned a lot of the basics of playing edge, but there’s a lot to improve on. I feel good, but I’m not satisfied.”

Tennessee Titans general manager Mike Borgonzi says Oluwafemi Oladejo loves football

“Femi(Oluwafemi Oladejo) is a tough, physical kid that really just started playing outside backer the fourth game of the season this year. He is developing as a pass pusher, so I think he has a lot of upside there as well. But I tell you what, he can set the edge, is physical, is violent, and the kid loves football, too - that was a big part of it,” shared Titans GM Mike Borgonzi with Jim Wyatt.
